The Emotion Temptation has witness its fair share of usage at my hands as I have taken it out many times to countless destinations such as Cedar Key in Florida and lakes in both Kentucky and Ohio. However I must admit that in-spite of my best efforts and even in rough conditions, I am yet to tip the kayak. One piece of advice, you may see that this kayak takes a bit of water on-board when in rough conditions, hence its advice-able to take a sponge or a small bucket to drain away the water.

One of the main reasons, I purchased the Emotion Kayak Temptation was for doing wild life photography. Over the past few years I have gained an active interest in that field. However in this kayak I found it a bit challenging to keep my photography gear dry when I was in rough conditions. I have figured that the back compartment is the best place to keep my gear, however its a challenge to reach it when kayaking in the waters.

As the front storage space cannot be obtained when in the kayak, it is most ideal to use the kayak for day-time trips or one needs to take a halt and gather stuff. In fact, I am not totally sure as to how to use this space. However I believe this minor complaint won't be any different with other kayaks, so I don't hold any grudges against the Temptation kayak.

I have found that it’s dead easy to load and unload this kayak onto my vehicle. I don't need a second person to give me a hand. This is exactly the reason why I replaced my canoe with this kayak, as the canoe is way too bulky and heavy for one person to handle. Even after a lot of uses the exterior of the kayak remains in a good shape, apart from a few negligible marks and scratches in a few places.

Use Snow Chains in Very Heavy Snow

If you have heavy snow in your area and have not benefited from any snow plough clearances then chains on your tires could quite literally be a life saver.  Keep a set of snow chains in your trunk and put them on before you drive in snow that more than 2 inches deep.  Also make sure that you fit them first on a clear sunny day as a practice run so you don’t get frustrated when trying to do this for the first time in Winter snow and freezing conditions.
