When it comes to any foundation liquid or powder the two most important features would be ease of application and coverage. Using a two step process Sheer Cover goes on smooth and easy. Step one is the application of their mineral powder foundation. The next step is a holding powder that goes on clear. It's as simple and easy as one - two.

Sheer Cover Powder Foundations come in shades for fair, medium, and dark skin tones as does Bare Minerals. Like most mineral foundations Sheer Cover comes as two separate containers of mineral powder. The recommendations are to blend and mix the two in different rations until you find the best combination for your particular skin tone. I suggest starting at 50/50 if you're typical, like me, you may find that's all you really need. Just take a mineral makeup brush swirl on some of powder, and that's it you'll know if that colour works for you. If that doesn't work then from there it's pretty easy to add a bit of one or the other until you get what you want. Not that I had to go there. I just mixed it 50/50 swirled it on and then stood looking un my mirror - in shock with flawless and evenly toned my skin looked. In fear that image would dissolve I was quick to step two of applying the setting powder.
Bare Minerals Makeup
Next I tried Bare Minerals. I found it was just as quick and easy to apply and I had a really hard time noticing a difference in my skin and look from one product to the other. Both provided excellent, sheer coverage which gave me an even and flawless look. Now, there is one more step with Bare Minerals vs Sheer Cover. After the setting powder they have you apply a third item called 'warming powder'. This third step added a really nice glow to my skin which was uniform but very natural looking.
So, in summary I would give the win to Sheer Cover for ease of application and I have to give Bare Minerals top marks for coverage. I really do like the added glow I get from it. Now if I wanted to warm up Sheer Cover I could simply add a but of bronzing powder for a finishing touch. That would even things up but in terms of conveience I have to say Bare Minerals takes top prize for me.
