Solid Oak flooring is a methodology in which the wood of oak tree is used for flooring purposes. It is mostly thought of as beneficial since it is environmentally friendly. It can have good effect on health of people too since it gives a natural look. It creates warmth atmosphere and is thought of being more satisfactory to human nature. It is more inclined towards nature. Its color and different design patterns add to its vigor and beauty. It is also preferable in the sense that it is simple and easy to manufacture. It does not involve any hectic work to be done upon it. It is easily managed and comfortable to maintain. It gives calmness and tranquility. It is thought to be positive in the sense that it is made up of natural material and that it is not any synthetic methodology. Although machinery is used in its production, but it does not supplement any additional material in it. Since only wood material is used in oak flooring hence it is more prone to get broken or scratched by any object upon it. Thus it needs some extra care to maintain it. It can easily be cracked or broken if one walks upon it wearing high heeled shoes. Similarly heavy weight objects can also affect its structure. One needs to be conscious while walking upon it. Pushing any heavy object on this type of flooring can again worsen the flooring. Heavy machinery or some other appliances can make it impair. It is all because it is made up of purely wood material which does not have the power to bear up heavy weight objects.
Since wood can not tolerate excessive sun light exposure thus oak flooring gets swell up due to the excessive sun light. Similarly since wood cannot tolerate excess water, hence when such flooring faces undue liquid flow, it can be damaged. It might get bulge out and spoil the beauty of solid oak flooring.
Many people think this kind of flooring to be bucolic and pastoral. That’s why many sophisticated people avoid it to install at homes. They think that it gives rustic look to the internal environment of room. And that installing it in elite class peoples’ homes is perhaps a sort of disgrace for them. But no clear statement could be said in this sense since everybody has his/ her own point of view about its look and texture.
