Who would've thought that Sam Walton's good old friendly store would one day be a tattoo removal cream vendor?
Sure, long ago they started selling birth control tools and pregnancy kits, but tattoo removal products? Aren't they like - I don't know, gross?
Shareholders these certainly don't think so.
In fact, the move to sell Wrecking Balm Tattoo Fade Kits at Walmart seems to be a win-win situation for everyone involved: Walmart, Wrecking Balm, and most importantly, consumers.
Why is this so?
In order to get a tattoo removed, people have only a few options. In one perspective, this can be broken down into two paths; those tattoo removing products that are over the counter and those that require the skills of a specialist.
It doesn't take much intelligence to imagine which one costs more!
But which one is more readily available? That's a question that Walmart just changed the answer on.
Before they decided to stock Wrecking Balm, people had to buy it online. This is somewhat of a hassle, and at least from the perspective of the company itself, a hurdle to making a sale.
Now all people have to do it pick it up when visiting their local store for any one of a million items, be it a cucumber or a tank top. Either way, tattoo removal just got way more available to the average person on the street.
Wrecking Balm stands to gain a huge increase of the market share with this deal with Walmart.
But I know the real question on everyone's mind is does it work? Does this tattoo removing product really do what it's supposed to do - i.e. does Wrecking Balm remove tattoos?
One point to consider is that it's technically called a Tattoo Fade system and not a Tattoo Remover system, but perhaps that's just semantics.
